DENVER, Jan. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Leading law firm, Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove, based in Cheltenham, UK, decided to upgrade from OpenText eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5.3. Upgrading provides a number of benefits, including support for Microsoft Office 2010, Windows 7, and 64-bit processing capabilities. Preservation of critical data, including dynamic views, metadata and security, was a strict requirement of the upgrade.

The services to execute the upgrade were provided by ECMConnect. The conversion utility selected by ECMConnect was a product developed by SeeUnity, an OpenText-certified developer of content integration solutions.

“SeeUnity was an easy software decision,” said Peter Lambert, Technical Director at ECMConnect. “We’ve used SeeUnity products in the past, precisely because they work out-of-the-box, with minimal configuration efforts.”

Designed specifically for eDOCS conversions and recommended by OpenText, the Conversion Utility processed the eDOCS repository quickly. “The Conversion Utility product exceeded our expectations,” said Pete Fletcher, IT Manager at Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove. “ECMConnect converted our entire repository - over a half million objects - from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5.3 in 14 minutes. We kept downtime to under 15 minutes for the entire project, and we did not lose or damage any data in the process.”

Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove recommends SeeUnity’s eDOCS Conversion Utility on the basis of its ease of set-up, rapid conversion process, and reliable results.

Increased Performance, Greater Application Functionality, Improved Support for SharePoint 2010 and New Connectors Headline Milestone SeeUnity Upgrade

DENVER, COLORADO / February 24, 2011 — SeeUnity, the market-leading provider of Enterprise Content Integration and Migration products, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of SeeUnity version 5.0, or V5. V5 represents a broad and substantial upgrade to several products and modules in the SeeUnity product suite.

“We’re excited about this release, as are many of our customers,” says Brant Henne, Marketing Director for SeeUnity. “This release introduces new applications and features, many of them based on feedback and requests from our partners and customers. SharePoint 2010 was a major release, with a lot of new functionality. While we’ve supported it since 2010’s launch date, SeeUnity V5 takes greater advantage of SharePoint 2010’s new features. This continues our strategy of using SharePoint integration to enhance and maximize a complementary ECM system.”

V5 upgrades are across the board including improvements to searching, archiving and distribution. Additional modules and web parts have been introduced, including greater ability to interact directly with ECM platforms from the desktop, without the need for SharePoint or native ECM clients. V5 continues to expand the potential benefits of content integration.

New Offering Enables Migration of Data from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5

DENVER, Nov. 8, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — SeeUnity, the market-leading provider of Enterprise Content Integration and Migration products, is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its Conversion Utility for Open Text eDOCS (eDOCS). The Conversion Utility has been customized specifically for transferring an entire eDOCS 6 repository to eDOCS 5.

“Our Conversion Utility meets a specific demand from a fixed market – eDOCS migration from version 6 to 5,” said Brant Henne, Marketing Director at SeeUnity. “eDOCS users now have a turnkey option for moving their entire repository, including content, metadata, users and security, from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5.”

“We’re enthusiastic to have this product available,” said Antony White, Managing Partner at Lamite ltd. “Our customers using eDOCS 6 are examining alternatives. The Conversion Utility provides two important benefits. First, it allows them to move their content to a very similar ECM system. Second, it performs the conversion securely, quickly and with a minimum of disruption.”

This product represents a customization of existing content migration products available from SeeUnity. Conversion Utility has been optimized to accelerate a specific conversion of data from eDOCS 6 to eDOCS 5. Notable improvements included a streamlined admin interface, and library of pre-configured tasks that accelerate the setup process.

The SeeUnity Conversion Utility is unique in the market, providing a product-based offering that delivers a full conversion rapidly and with a minimum of services. Planning and testing can be completed in days, with the actual conversion process lasting hours.

As a conversion utility, content can be left in place, or physically moved to a destination repository, if needed. Through a library of pre-configured templates that can be easily copied and modified, eDOCS 6 customers should expect the following to be converted:

Documents

Document Numbers (if not in use, an offset will be used)

System IDs

Users

Groups

Security

Profile Forms

Applications (APPS Table)

Launch Methods

Lookup Lists (including any custom lists)

Folders

Network Aliases

Versions

Quick Searches

Workspaces

Related Items

Audit Entries (Can be limited to x number of rows)

SQL and Oracle eDOCS databases

eDOCS 6 RM containers can be converted to eDOCS 5 folders
