SeeUnity Technology Overview

SeeUnity’s technology architecture is unique in the content integration market. Leveraging an advanced .NET integration framework, organizations quickly configure and connect multiple proprietary ECM repositories. Unlike solutions that specialize in connecting to a single repository, SeeUnity’s open architecture and pre-configured connectors support multiple ECM systems out of the box. A framework developer’s kit also supports custom connectors and extensions for specific capabilities.

The resulting integration allows users to search, access and manage content from various platforms and repositories, from a unified Microsoft SharePoint interface. SeeUnity’s migration services enable organizations to transfer content, metadata, security, etc. across various repositories, while retaining important content policies and information.

SeeUnity's technology architecture is made up of 5 main components:

• The SeeUnity Integration Framework, is responsible for facilitating all information passed across repositories. All other SeeUnity modules are pluggable components that leverage the framework.
• The SeeUnity Virtual API communicates between SharePoint and information passed through the framework.
• SeeUnity Migration Services facilitate transfer of content, metadata, security, version, etc. between repositories.
• SeeUnity SharePoint Modules expose and allow control of various native ECM functions through a SharePoint interface.
• SeeUnity ECM Connectors enable direct communication with specific ECM repositories.
